About Our School

Buckeye Union Mandarin Immersion Charter School is an innovative Chinese immersion program offering students the opportunity to learn about the language and culture of China through a rigorous academic program.  Students gain mastery of Chinese reading, writing (Simplified Characters), listening and speaking through whole class, small group and individual learning opportunities.  Students are evaluated based on the ACTFL Proficiency Benchmarks and are assessed by a certificated ACTFL assessor.  Our Mandarin teachers are native Chinese speakers who bring with them an intimate knowledge of China and its language and culture.  All of our teachers have their California Teaching Credentials as well as their Biliteracy Teaching Credentials for Mandarin.  To view a slide show about our program please click here.
